Senior UI/UX Designer

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to design intuitive, visually compelling, and user-centered experiences for web applications, mobile apps, and blockchain-powered products.

You'll work closely with developers and project stakeholders to translate product requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished interface designs. You'll help shape product experiences from initial research and concept development through implementation, testing, and refinement.

This is a remote contract opportunity open exclusively to candidates based in the United States, with an expected commitment of 20-40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

- Design user-centered experiences for web applications, mobile applications, and Web3 products.

- Conduct user research, analyze user needs, and translate findings into actionable design decisions.

- Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.

- Develop polished, responsive interfaces for desktop and mobile platforms.

- Establish and maintain design systems, reusable components, and consistent visual standards.

- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are practical, accessible, and implemented accurately.

- Work with product stakeholders to understand requirements, define user journeys, and prioritize design improvements.

- Apply usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design best practices.

- Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to improve user experiences.

- Design complex workflows, dashboards, onboarding experiences, and data-rich interfaces where required.

- Prepare design specifications and assets for efficient developer handoff.

- Review implemented interfaces and identify opportunities to improve usability, consistency, and visual quality.

Job Requirements

- 5+ years of professional UI/UX or product design experience.

- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful web application, mobile application, or digital product design projects.

- Proficiency with Figma and experience creating interactive prototypes and reusable design components.

- Strong understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, user flows, and interaction design.

- Experience designing responsive interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

- Knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, visual hierarchy, and modern interface design principles.

- Experience developing and maintaining design systems and component libraries.

- Understanding of usability testing, user research methods, and iterative design processes.

- Familiarity with accessibility principles and inclusive design practices.

- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks independently.

- Good English communication skills.

- Must be currently based in the United States.

Bonus Skills

- Experience designing blockchain, Web3, DeFi, or cryptocurrency applications.

- Familiarity with cryptocurrency wallets, wallet connection flows, transaction signing, and blockchain dashboards.

- Experience designing complex financial interfaces, analytics dashboards, or data-heavy products.

- Familiarity with mobile design guidelines for iOS and Android.

- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and frontend development constraints.

- Experience with design handoff workflows and collaboration tools such as Jira or Linear.

- Familiarity with usability analytics, A/B testing, and product performance metrics.

- Experience with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

- Compensation: $45-$80 USD per hour, depending on experience, design expertise, and project requirements.

- Engagement: Ongoing contract supporting Ironclad Ledger's web, mobile, and blockchain product design projects.

- Availability: Expected commitment of 20-40 hours per week.

- Location: Fully remote within the United States. Applicants must be US-based.

- Working style: Flexible scheduling and asynchronous collaboration, with reasonable overlap for team coordination.
