Social Media Account Manager

Our client "TINKER STUDIO SDN. BHD." is seeking a Social Media Account Manager to join their team!



This is a client-facing opportunity to lead social media accounts, campaigns and creative delivery while working closely with the Account Director and a team of up to 10. Based in Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur, the full-time role offers a MYR 5,000–8,500 monthly salary, Monday–Friday working hours from 9am–6pm, and an on-site/hybrid working arrangement.



What you'll be doing?

• Client relationships: Serve as the main day-to-day contact for assigned clients, managing communications, expectations, approvals and meetings with professionalism.
• Brief-to-plan delivery: Translate client objectives into clear briefs, content plans and timelines for creative, KOL and production teams.
• Social media execution: Oversee planning and delivery across client social channels, including content calendars, copy, posting schedules and community management.
• Team coaching: Guide, coach and mentor Junior Account Executives and Social Media Specialists through clear feedback and work reviews.
• Pitch preparation: Develop pitch decks, credentials and proposals, and present to potential clients alongside the Account Director to support new business wins.
• Cross-functional delivery: Coordinate designers, copywriters, video editors and KOL managers to keep deliverables on brief, on time and on brand.
• Scope and financial coordination: Prepare quotations and proposals, track scope and costs, and support billing and invoicing with Finance.
• Reporting and insights: Analyse campaign, page and audience data using platform insights and analytics tools, then prepare monthly reports with clear recommendations.
• Account growth: Identify opportunities for new campaigns, KOL activations, paid media and production, and share them with the Account Director.
• Platform awareness: Monitor social media trends, platform updates and new formats to keep client strategies fresh and relevant.
• Ad hoc support: Contribute to other tasks and projects assigned by management.

Who are they looking for?

• Agency experience: More than two years’ experience in an external social media, digital marketing, creative or advertising agency, with relevant client-facing exposure.
• Client account management: Proven experience managing multiple external client accounts, including communications, expectations, approvals and meetings.
• Cross-functional coordination: Experience coordinating creative, copywriting, video and production teams to deliver work smoothly and consistently.
• Mandarin proficiency: Proficiency in Mandarin, including reading and writing Chinese, to support communication with relevant clients and stakeholders.
• Own car: Access to own car is required for the role.
• Paid media: Paid media campaign experience would be welcomed as an added strength.
• Account growth: Experience upselling or growing existing accounts would support success in the role.
• People development: Experience mentoring Junior Account Executives or Social Media Specialists would be advantageous.
• Platform knowledge: Experience with TikTok, Xiaohongshu, Instagram (Meta) and LinkedIn would be valuable.
• Mandarin campaigns: Mandarin-language campaign experience would be an advantage.
• Portfolio strength: A strong portfolio of client campaigns with measurable results would be highly regarded.
• Work rights: Citizen work rights are required for this position.
