About the role



We are seeking a talented Business Development professional to join LIM SOH & GOONTING at our Johor Bahru & KLCC branch. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to drive business growth, build strategic partnerships and identify new market opportunities. As a Business Development professional, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and revenue streams whilst establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your contributions will directly impact the commercial success of our organisation and your career progression within a forward-thinking company.

What you'll be doing

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients within the assigned market or geographical area

• Develop and implement business development strategies to support company growth objectives and revenue targets

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and market gaps

• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations and pitch materials to prospective clients

• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business whilst ensuring favourable terms for the company

• Collaborate with internal teams including sales, operations and management to ensure successful client onboarding and service delivery

• Monitor and report on business development metrics, including pipeline progress, conversion rates and revenue forecasts

• Attend industry events, networking sessions and trade shows to generate leads and enhance brand visibility

• Support the achievement of sales targets and contribute to overall business performance and profitability

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in business development, sales or a similar client-facing role within the sales industry

• Strong track record of identifying and converting business opportunities into successful client relationships

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels

• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive measurable results

• Proficiency in market research and competitor analysis

• Strong negotiation and deal-closing capabilities

• Results-driven mindset with a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively as part of a team

• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management tools

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field is preferred

• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is advantageous, particularly for regional business development

• Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend business development activities
