BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ( MALAYSIA REMOTE) - FINTECH

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own and execute the Malaysia market strategy, translating regional objectives into clear local action plans.
• Drive customer acquisition, activation, and retention across retail and professional trading segments.
• Build, lead, and scale local teams across Sales, IB/MIB Management, Account Management, Compliance, and Operations.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with local partners, IB/MIB networks, payment providers, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
• Coordinate with compliance teams to ensure alignment with applicable regulatory requirements, internal controls, and governance standards.
• Own P&L management, budgeting, and monthly forecasting, delivering consistent revenue growth and margin improvement.
• Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to localize products, campaigns, and user journeys for traders.
• Implement and oversee risk management, KYC, and AML processes in coordination with compliance functions.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top local talent, fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a BD role within forex, brokerage, trading, or prop firm companies,....
• Strong and established relationships with IB and/or MIB networks in Malaysia.
• Solid knowledge of forex brokerage models, including IB structures, liquidity, dealing, and risk management.
• Proven experience in P&L ownership, budgeting, and revenue forecasting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners, senior management, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, take full ownership, and drive execution.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is preferred. Mandarin, Cantonese, or other relevant local languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Malaysia and work flexible hours when required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Direct experience with online trading platforms such as MetaTrader or similar systems.
• Experience in digital acquisition, affiliate/IB-driven growth, and performance marketing.
• Previous success in launching or scaling forex operations in Malaysia.\
• Strong understanding of the local competitive landscape, customer behavior, and payment ecosystem.
