Hyred is a recruitment agency placing talent across Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. We run permanent and contract searches for clients ranging from regional agencies and consultancies to fast-growing startups, across roles in sourcing, finance, design, strategy, customer success and more.

About the role

You will work alongside our lead recruiter on live client mandates, learning the full recruitment cycle: understanding a brief, finding and screening candidates, and managing them through interviews to an offer. You will also help us build the tools and data that make our process faster, including AI-assisted sourcing and our candidate tracker.

This role suits someone curious about people and business who wants hands-on experience in recruitment, HR or sales.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing: search LinkedIn, job boards and our database for candidates who match each client brief.
• Screening: review CVs against the role criteria and help score and rank candidates.
• Outreach: draft and send candidate messages, and follow up to keep the pipeline moving.
• Coordination: schedule screening calls and client interviews, and keep candidates updated.
• Candidate profiles: help write up screening notes into candidate profiles for clients.
• Tracking: keep our recruitment tracker and CRM accurate and up to date.
• Market research: research target companies, salary benchmarks and talent pools for new mandates.
• Business development support: help research potential clients and prepare outreach material.
• Employer branding: help create job posts and LinkedIn content for Hyred.

Requirements

• Currently studying, or recently graduated in, Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English. Bahasa Malaysia is expected; Mandarin is a plus, as many of our client roles require it.
• Comfortable reaching out to people you don't know, by message and by phone.
• Organised and detail-oriented, able to juggle several candidates and deadlines at once.
• Confident with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; familiarity with LinkedIn is a plus.
• Interested in using AI tools to work faster.
• Able to commit to at least 3 months.
