AgriCredit-Africa is a decentralized AI-powered platform designed to revolutionize agricultural finance across Africa. It connects farmers, cooperatives, and investors through blockchain-based microloans, AI-driven credit scoring, and IoT-verified climate insights. Farmers can access fair credit, tokenize yields and carbon credits, and trade transparently on the blockchain. The platform ensures data ownership, transparency, and inclusion while promoting sustainability and trust in Africa’s agri-economy.

During the hackathon, our team:
. Built a working AI credit scoring prototype using satellite and mobile money data.
. Deployed the initial smart contracts for decentralized microloans and carbon tokenization.
. Created a Next.js + Tailwind UI with wallet connection and DID-based onboarding.
. Integrated IoT sensor simulation and Chainlink oracles for farm data.
. Designed the AI explainability dashboard for transparent credit evaluation.
. Established a DAO framework for community-led governance and loan pool management.
This prototype demonstrates real, working interoperability between AI, blockchain, and real-world agriculture systems.
