LuminaFi is a decentralized education funding platform built on the Layer 3 EduChain network. This platform directly connects investors who want to support education with students or educational institutions that need funding.

Unlike conventional banking systems, LuminaFi DeFi operates based on the following principles:

Zero Interest, Zero Exploitation: This platform eliminates the burdensome concept of interest, replacing it with a fair and transparent profit-sharing model.
Dual-Currency System: Investors provide funds in cryptocurrency (ETH, etc.), while borrowers receive and repay in stablecoin (USDC), protecting them from crypto market volatility.
Education-Based Assessment: Educational credentials become the main focus in eligibility assessment, not traditional credit scores.
Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO): Funding decisions are made collectively by the community through decentralized voting mechanisms.
Complete Transparency: All transactions, assessments, and use of funds are permanently and transparently recorded on the blockchain.

During the 48-hour hackathon, our team successfully: Designed and implemented the core smart contract architecture Created a functional user registration and credential system, Developed the loan request and approval workflow, Built a basic frontend with Next.js and React, Integrated wallet connectivity, Successfully deployed and tested on the EduChain testnet, Demonstrated end-to-end loan creation and funding process, Implemented the dual-currency system protecting borrowers from volatility
