Pencil Finance is the first DeFi protocol to bring real-world student loans on-chain — creating a new yield-bearing asset class backed by education.
We partner with verified student loan originators in emerging markets to tokenize loan portfolios and structure them into risk-tiered tranches. Global investors can participate via fixed-return senior tokens or high-yield junior NFTs, with repayment and defaults handled transparently on-chain.
The first loan bundles are live on EDU Chain with support from Open Campus and Animoca Brands. We have also received 10 million liquidity support from Animoca Brands.
