Crimson Fate
On-chain Rogue-like against Fate itself on Starknet.
Videos
Description
Crimson Fate is a fully on-chain roguelike built on Starknet, featuring dynamic combat, provable loot, and agentic NPCs.
A. Pre-Reignite Project Position
Prior to Reignite, Crimson Fate had launched its Closed Beta with core dungeon mechanics, on-chain progression, alchemical power-ups. The game was already operating as a pixel-art roguelike on Starknet testnet, featuring real-time, wave-based combat.
B. Reignite Development Focus
During Reignite, our primary focus was twofold:
Ship Crimson Fate into Open Beta with a fully on-chain game loop, inventory system, and seasonal leaderboard
Launch and integrate Lord Valor — a fully on-chain agentic NPC designed to automate core gameplay loops (dungeon farming, loot trading) and execute logic and responses on-chain via programmable behavior.
C. Key Development Milestones
i. Agent Loot Negotiation System (LIVE)
Players send Lord Valor into multi-hour dungeon runs (2h, 4h, 8h) using energy.
Valor clears dungeons autonomously and returns with a sealed loot bag.
He reveals item rarities, but not stats.
Players must pay or negotiate to claim the loot.
Lowball offers trigger rejection or cooldown.
The negotiation logic is fully on-chain, powered by @daydreamsagents Chain-of-Thought reasoning and executed using programmable response trees.
Outcome: deployed in Open Beta on May 22th, 2025
ii. Bribery System with On-Chain VRF Integration (LIVE)
Players may bribe Lord Valor mid-run to reduce dungeon duration.
Valor evaluates the bribe using his agent logic, and executes a VRF call to determine time reduction.
The outcome is recorded on-chain, combining AI-driven reasoning with VRF-powered randomness.
Outcome: live and functional on Starknet testnet on May 22th, 2025
iii. On-Chain Transaction Execution (LIVE)
Lord Valor autonomously initiates and executes:
Dungeon run registration
Loot bag claim
Bribe resolution
Blindbag reveal
Every core interaction is verified, enforced, and recorded on Starknet
iv. Agent-Controlled Leaderboard Tracking (In Progress)
Lord Valor is being extended with the ability to track player leaderboard rankings and respond with in-character dialogue, reward triggers, or milestone reactions.
This system will allow the agent to respond to player performance autonomously, reducing the need for manual reward distribution logic
