Progress During Hackathon

During the hackathon, we made significant progress in developing and refining DeFi Watchdog for the Linea ecosystem: Infrastructure Adaptation: We successfully integrated Linea's RPC endpoints and aligned our analysis engine with Linea's zkEVM architecture. This required recalibrating several core components to ensure optimal performance on Linea's network. Linea-Specific Security Rules: We developed custom security scanning parameters tuned specifically for Linea's unique characteristics. This included adapting our vulnerability detection algorithms to account for Linea's zkEVM execution environment. UI/UX Overhaul: We redesigned the dashboard with Linea-focused metrics and added visualization tools that help developers better understand the security landscape of their Linea smart contracts. ZerePy Integration Enhancement: We optimized how our autonomous agent interacts with Linea's infrastructure, ensuring both on-chain actions and social alerts happen seamlessly within the Linea ecosystem. Community Connection: We established integration points with Linea community channels for our alert system, ensuring that security notifications reach the right stakeholders quickly. Testing and Validation: We conducted extensive testing on Linea testnet with various contract types to validate our analysis accuracy and performance. Throughout February, we maintained a steady development cadence with daily commits to our codebase, focusing specifically on making DeFi Watchdog a natural fit for Linea's growing DeFi ecosystem. Our progress transformed DeFi Watchdog from a blockchain-agnostic tool to a security solution that leverages Linea's specific strengths while addressing its unique security considerations.

Fundraising Status

Currently, DeFi Watchdog is bootstrapped and in active development without external funding. We're focused on building a robust product and demonstrating its value within the Linea ecosystem before pursuing significant investment. Our fundraising strategy has three phases: Current Phase: Self-funded development and hackathon participation to validate our technology and build community traction. Seed Round: Once we've established strong product-market fit on Linea, we plan to raise a small seed round of $300K-500K from blockchain-focused angel investors and early-stage VCs to accelerate development and marketing. Strategic Partnerships: We're exploring potential collaborations with major DeFi protocols on Linea that could include grants or strategic investment to integrate our security solution directly into their ecosystems. The Linea Dev Cook-off represents an important opportunity not just for the prize pool, but for gaining visibility with potential investors and partners who recognize the critical importance of security infrastructure in growing blockchain ecosystems. We believe our focus on autonomous, AI-driven security monitoring fills a significant gap in the current DeFi landscape, particularly for emerging L2 solutions like Linea that are rapidly attracting developers and users.
