What DeSpell is
DeSpell is a human-authorized AI app layer for onchain actions. You say what you want in plain words. The AI finds a route and simulates it. You make the final call and sign one transaction. DeSpell never holds your funds or keys.
The problem
Arbitrum's gate is wide open. Bridges and aggregators already work. The people who still do not arrive are the ones who never think in chains. A user with USDC on an exchange thinks "I want this to earn something" or "I want to send this to four friends." Turning that sentence into a safe transaction takes seven steps today. Most new users stop at step two.
How it works
You type one sentence. Sloppy input is fine.
The AI reads your balances across chains and proposes a route.
Deterministic code rebuilds every amount and address from onchain data. It simulates the result and checks the recipient and the token before you see anything.
You approve it and sign once.
The AI computes and proposes. Deterministic verification owns every number. The human decides and signs.
What is live today
DeSpell is a free public beta at app.despell.io. It runs on 13 EVM mainnets with no allowlist. Arbitrum One and Robinhood Chain are among them. Users already move real funds with it.
Swaps and bridges in one sentence
Transfers to many addresses in one transaction
Sweeping small balances across chains into one asset
A multichain portfolio view
Recipient risk and honeypot and thin liquidity warnings before signing - Exact-amount approvals only
No custody and no contracts of our own that users must trust
What we build during the Buildathon
A next-action engine for new wallets on Arbitrum One and Robinhood Chain.
When funds arrive in a wallet, DeSpell reads what it holds and suggests the next move in plain words. The first move we ship is a deposit into a vault that our own code has verified onchain. The user approves it and signs once. We measure how many new wallets take a second action within seven days and publish the numbers.
Milestones
- Oct 2026
Buildathon delivery. Next-action engine live on Arbitrum One and Robinhood Chain with measured first and second actions.
- Q4 2026
Public launch. DeSpell leaves beta with the next-action engine on all supported chains.
- Q1 2027
DeSpell API. Other AI services and LLM agents plug in the same way they plug in an MCP server. They send a sentence and get back a verified transaction for the user to sign.
- Q2 2027
Institutional funding round on the back of API adoption and launch metrics.
Why Arbitrum
DeSpell is a neutral console. It does not push users to any chain. It picks the best venue for each sentence. Arbitrum has the deepest DeFi among L2s and Robinhood Chain brings new retail wallets onchain. That is exactly where a next-action engine matters most.
