Description
DECIDE: Powering Educational Change Through Crowdsourced Solutions
DECIDE is a Web3-powered platform where students, educators, and innovators propose, vote on, and get rewarded for solutions that tackle real educational challenges. Unlike traditional grant or scholarship systems, DECIDE democratizes problem-solving by allowing anyone to contribute ideas that can reshape learning experiences.
🔹 How It Works
1. Contest Creation (Staking to Prevent Spam)
To maintain quality and prevent spam, contest creators must stake EDU tokens (e.g., 0.05 EDU) before launching a contest. This ensures that only serious and relevant challenges are created. The exact staking amount may evolve as the platform grows.
2. Joining Contests (Entry Fee Forms the Prize Pool)
Participants who wish to submit a proposal must pay an entry fee in EDU tokens, which directly funds the prize pool for that contest. The more participants, the larger the reward for the winners.
3. Voting System (Fair & Transparent Voting)
To prevent spam voting and favoritism, users must stake EDU tokens (e.g., 0.005 EDU) before casting their vote. Additional safeguards include:
Votes are final – once submitted, they cannot be changed.
Switching wallet addresses? You'll need to restake before voting again.
Staked tokens remain locked until the contest ends to prevent vote manipulation.
Voters earn rewards for their participation, ensuring a fair and community-driven decision-making process.
🔹 Reward & Monetization Model
DECIDE follows a 90-5-5 distribution from the total contest prize pool:
90% goes to the top three winning entries.
5% is distributed as staking rewards to voters.
5% is allocated to DECIDE as platform revenue.
Boosting EduChain’s Total Value Locked (TVL)
With contest creators staking EDU tokens, participants paying entry fees, and voters locking funds, DECIDE increases the Total Value Locked (TVL) on EduChain. This ensures more liquidity, security, and long-term sustainability for the ecosystem. As participation grows, more EDU tokens remain locked, reinforcing EduChain’s economic strength and overall utility.
🔹 What Kind of Contests?
New Learning Methods – How can STEM education be made more interactive?
Study Hacks & Memory Techniques – What’s the best way to retain information?
EdTech Innovation – Showcase a new software or AI tool for education.
Mental Health & Student Well-being – Strategies to reduce academic stress.
University & Campus Solutions – Fix inefficiencies in student services.
Scholarships & Financial Aid Reform – Develop new funding models for students.
Any contest that drives impact within the educational ecosystem is welcomed. Entries can range from research-backed proposals to working software prototypes that demonstrate real potential in education. Winning ideas don’t just earn rewards—they gain visibility among schools, investors, and policymakers, increasing the chances of real-world implementation.
DECIDE isn’t just about celebrating excellence—it’s about creating it by funding and recognizing ideas that drive change in education.
