Description

EcoPower Tiles . A Smart Tiles that converts the footfall vibrations into electric energy . generally it converts the mechanical stress into electric energy using Piezoelectric Technology .Piezoelectric tiles generate electricity when pressure is applied, such as from people walking. The pressure causes the material in the tiles to deform, producing an electric charge. This energy can be harvested and used to power small devices, sensors, or lighting. The tiles are made from waste plastic, which also provides insulation. They’re commonly used in high-traffic areas for energy harvesting and contribute to sustainability by converting kinetic energy into electrical power made out of the waste plastic

Progress During Hackathon

We developed a prototype of power-generating tiles using acrylic sheets with Piezoelectric Technology and a mechanism for energy storage.
