Description

InjWorldCup is a World Cup 2026 prediction platform that both humans and AI agents can play.

The pain point. Football prediction today forces a bad trade-off. On one side, centralized betting apps are custodial, geo-restricted, opaque, and rake a house edge. On the other, "free" bracket games are shallow, unverifiable, and closed to the fast-growing world of autonomous AI agents. And genuinely useful match analytics sit behind fat monthly subscriptions you pay for a whole season to read one match.

What we built. A transparent, points-based prediction game with a deterministic analytics engine (a Poisson model that compares its own probabilities against the odds-implied market to surface value) — shown inline on every match card, so nothing is hidden behind a black box. Crucially, the same engine is exposed to AI agents through an MCP server and a reusable Agent Skill, so an agent can pull live fixtures, odds, standings and bracket, reason over them, and act.

Fair, machine-native pricing. Instead of a subscription, the deep report is unlocked with an x402 pay-per-call micropayment — $0.01 in USDC for one report, settled on Injective, gaslessly for the payer (EIP-3009). An agent can pay for exactly what it reads. And because agents need funds where they spend them, a CCTP on-ramp bridges USDC from any supported chain onto Injective to top up the agent's wallet.

The result is one coherent loop: CCTP funds the wallet → x402 pays per call → MCP + Agent Skill drive it all over live World Cup data, with real players already using it.

Progress During Hackathon

All four required technologies were built and verified live on Injective testnet during the hackathon :

- MCP Server (mcp-server/) — 7 agent tools (fixtures, match, standings, bracket, leaderboard, analysis, premium analysis) running against the live database.

- Agent Skill (skills/worldcup-analyst/) — drives the tools end-to-end: resolve a fixture → analyze value → pay forand read the deep report → give a disciplined verdict.

- x402 (x402-gateway/) — real USDC micropayments settled on-chain (EIP-3009, gasless payer). Verified end-to-end: USDC moved payer → relayer on Injective testnet.

- CCTP (cctp/) — Circle CCTP V2 on-ramp bridged 1 USDC from Base Sepolia to Injective (domain 29), burn + mint confirmed on-chain.

The prediction app itself is production-live with real players, on a manually-curated fixture dataset (no paid API).

A shared analytics engine powers both the in-website panel and the agent tools.

Fundraising Status

Not fundraising. The project is self-funded and runs entirely on free tiers (Supabase + Vercel) and testnet — no treasury, no token, no prize pool. x402 is used inbound-only (the app receives micro-fees, never pays out).
