Martingale is institutional infrastructure for structured tokenized assets, combining pricing, risk management and distribution in one protocol.

Martingale Protocol V3 is an on-chain structured finance platform designed to turn tokenized assets into investment products with distinct risk and return profiles. Its first application focuses on tokenized physical gold. It pairs L, for investors seeking leveraged gold exposure over longer holding periods, with S, for investors seeking income from financing that exposure.
Token ownership alone gives every holder the asset’s price risk. Investors who want leverage typically face a separate set of decisions about borrowing, collateral, trading and financing costs. Martingale brings those relationships into one structure. L and S share a collateral pool: L receives the residual gains and bears gold price losses and financing charges, while those charges provide income to S. S has a senior claim on the pool.
V3 is designed to manage leverage through risk threshold resets rather than routine daily resets. For the gold product, tokenized physical gold also avoids the routine futures rolls used by some traditional leveraged funds. The protocol’s pricing and risk engine keeps asset valuation, financing accrual, collateral and settlement consistent as markets move. A bounded Price Guard is designed to limit the effect of an isolated price anomaly on reset decisions. The model builds on published mathematical finance research, with guidance from the paper’s author.
Martingale is developing this as infrastructure that issuers and curators can use across asset categories. Curators set product parameters within their own regulatory and asset management responsibilities; Martingale supplies the pricing, risk and settlement technology. L and S can reach investors through institutional platforms, exchanges, wallets and DeFi venues.
A 180-day gold replay has been used to test the proposed L and S structures against selected ETF, perpetual trading and liquidity pool models. Commercial discussions are underway with leading Asian tokenized gold issuers and stock token brokers as the team prepares a pilot and expands the platform beyond gold.
