Melodia is a decentralized music royalty management platform built on the Mantle Network, designed to revolutionize how musicians secure funding and how fans invest in creative works. By leveraging blockchain technology, Melodia enables artists to tokenize their intellectual property rights, transforming future royalties into fractionalized digital assets that can be owned by the public. This ecosystem provides musicians with immediate access to capital without the restrictive barriers of traditional record labels, while simultaneously allowing fans and investors to hold a tangible "stake" in a song’s financial success through a transparent and secure on-chain process.

Engineered for scalability and cost-efficiency, Melodia utilizes Mantle’s Layer 2 infrastructure to ensure that every transaction—from purchasing royalty shares to distributing earnings—is executed with ultra-low gas fees. The platform integrates sophisticated smart contracts to manage asset ownership and provides an intuitive dashboard for both creators and investors to track their music portfolios in real-time. By merging decentralized finance with the creative industry, Melodia serves as a future-ready solution for a fairer, more transparent, and inclusive creator economy.

Progress During Hackathon

During this hackathon, we successfully transitioned Melodia from a conceptual framework to a functional decentralized application deployed on the Mantle Sepolia Testnet. We focused on building a robust core infrastructure, which included developing and deploying the MusicIPNFT and KYCRegistry smart contracts to handle secure asset tokenization and user verification. On the frontend, we implemented the Share Buying functionality, allowing users to seamlessly purchase royalty stakes, and built a comprehensive Admin Dashboard for listing moderation. Furthermore, we optimized our deployment pipeline by integrating Docker and Netlify, ensuring a scalable and accessible live demo. Our progress during this sprint has turned the vision of fractionalized music ownership into a tangible, high-performance reality on the Mantle ecosystem.

Fundraising Status

Melodia is currently in the Bootstrapped stage, having been built and developed independently by the core team during this hackathon without any external investment. By focusing on lean development and leveraging the efficient infrastructure of the Mantle Network, we have successfully created a functional MVP (Minimum Viable Product) through our own resources and technical expertise. This status reflects our commitment to building a solid foundational product and proves our team's ability to execute a complex Web3 vision from the ground up before seeking future scaling opportunities through grants or seed funding
