What it does
PromptForge is a browser-based AI tool that transforms rough, vague ideas into production-quality prompts. Users type
a messy thought, and the AI restructures it into a clear, complete, and effective prompt with role assignment,
constraints, output format, and examples.
How it learns (Adaptive Loop)
Every optimized prompt can be scored on three dimensions: clarity, completeness, and effectiveness. These scores are
stored locally and analyzed over time. The system builds a personal scoring profile — tracking which optimization
styles (concise, detailed, creative, professional) perform best for each user. High-scoring results are automatically
fed back as dynamic few-shot examples into future optimizations. The more you use it, the more it adapts to your style
and preferences.
AI Integration
- LLM-powered optimization via OpenAI, Claude, or any OpenAI-compatible API relay
- AI self-evaluation: an independent LLM call scores the optimized prompt vs. the original
- AI similarity detection: prevents re-optimizing when the result is just rephrased
- Dynamic few-shot injection: top personal scoring examples are pulled from local history and injected into the
meta-prompt in real time
- Inquiry mode: AI analyzes what's missing from a prompt and asks targeted follow-up questions before optimizing

Progress During Hackathon
First time participating in a hackathon. The project is fully functional and deployed online.(https://promptforge-star.vercel.app). Core features include multi-model AI support, inquiry mode, prompt library.management, and data import/export. Source code is open-sourced on GitHub.
