RELIVE is an IP Time Capsule platform that transforms human memories into protected intellectual property on the blockchain.
RELIVE – IP Time Capsules is a Web3 application that transforms personal memories into protected intellectual property using Story Protocol. Built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and AI, Relive allows users to preserve meaningful moments in a way that is permanent, verifiable, and truly owned. Instead of letting memories fade away in cloud folders or forgotten journals, Relive turns them into blockchain-backed IP assets that can be unlocked at the right moment in the future.
The idea behind Relive comes from a simple but common problem. People often write letters to their future selves, make predictions, or record emotions during important phases of life, only for those memories to get lost over time. Devices change, platforms shut down, and physical items disappear. Even when these memories survive digitally, there is no clear proof of ownership. Relive addresses this by giving memories permanence, ownership, and meaning through decentralized technology.
Relive works by registering each memory as intellectual property on Story Protocol. The content is stored on IPFS for long-term decentralized storage, while ownership and creation rights are secured on the blockchain. AI enhances each memory by detecting emotional tone, generating concise summaries, and adding contextual tags, ensuring the original meaning and feeling are preserved. Users can also time-lock their memories so they are revealed only on a chosen future date or milestone.
At its core, Relive is the world’s first IP Time Capsule platform. It treats memories not as simple files, but as valuable digital assets. Whether it is a message to a future child, a career prediction, a creative idea, or a deeply personal secret, Relive ensures that it remains safe, owned, and undisputed.
The platform offers AI-enhanced features such as automatic mood detection, smart summaries, and contextual tagging. Future updates include AI-generated cover images to visually represent each memory. On the blockchain side, every memory becomes a fully registered IP asset under Story Protocol, complete with on-chain ownership, IPFS-hosted metadata, and the ability to transfer or license the asset.
Time-locking is a core part of the Relive experience. Users can choose when their memory will be unlocked, creating anticipation through countdown timers and visual animations. Until the unlock moment, memories remain private and encrypted. When the time arrives, the capsule opens with a smooth reveal experience that allows users to relive the emotions exactly as they were captured.
Relive places strong emphasis on user experience. The interface is designed to feel familiar and simple, combining Web3 functionality with Web2-like ease. It features smooth animations powered by Framer Motion, immersive 3D visuals using Three.js, and a fully responsive layout that works across devices. Wallet connections are handled seamlessly through RainbowKit and Wagmi.
From a technical perspective, Relive uses Next.js 15 with the App Router, React 19, and TypeScript for the frontend. Styling is handled with Tailwind CSS, while animations and visual effects use Framer Motion and Three.js. Story Protocol on the Aeneid testnet powers IP registration, IPFS via Pinata handles decentralized storage, and OpenAI is used for AI enhancements. The current demo uses local storage, with plans for a full backend API in production.
Users can create different types of IP Time Capsules, including messages, predictions, artwork, secrets, or custom content. Each memory goes through AI enhancement and is then registered on-chain with full ownership proof. Memories can later be transferred, gifted, or licensed, making them more than just personal keepsakes.
Relive also includes social and gifting features. Users can create capsules as gifts for friends or family, transfer ownership as a unique digital present, or choose to share unlocked memories publicly through a community feed. This allows memories to become shared experiences while still respecting ownership and privacy.
The project is currently fully functional in demo mode, with the UI, time-locking logic, and unlock flow already implemented. It is ready to enable live Story Protocol registration, real AI integrations, IPFS uploads, and backend services. Planned future features include an IP licensing marketplace, mobile applications, and expanded social functionality.
Relive is licensed under the MIT License and is built with the support of Story Protocol, OpenAI, Pinata, RainbowKit, and Wagmi. At its heart, Relive is about preserving what truly matters. It gives people a way to protect their memories, attach meaning to them, and revisit them at the perfect moment in the future.
