In India, even after 75 years of independence, there are still many underprivileged, backward class people living in poor health and economic condition. Their living standards are so bad. Most of these people facing such problems are from Tier 3/4/5 cities and villages of India. Now, there are many factors which govern their terrible living conditions. Be it corruption, lack of awareness, absence of civic governing bodies and authorities, lack of monitoring, racial discrimination, caste biases, illiteracy, etc. Due to all these factors, these people are facing such atrocities. The government is trying to uplift these people by rolling out various beneficiaries schemes and programs. But these schemes or 'yojanas' have not been properly penetrated to such lower tier areas, thus people from such areas are not able to fully access such policies. The problem is, people are not aware of such schemes and services offered by government for free to such weaker sections of the society.

Now, my team and I have thought of coming up with a plan to solve this problem. We are planning to build a platform for such people and individuals who face these problems, where the user can make their profile, enter their details (like, aadhar card number, PAN card number, certain certificates like: EWS certificate, PWD certificate, birth/death, etc. and other relevant details required for this task; get their details verified (means, check whether the inputed details are true or, not). Now based upon these data, we will check what sort of scheme the user is eligible for, and list down all the schemes that he/she is eligible in. That's the goal.

We are also trying to ease this initial onboarding process for the user by making an AI chat - bot, that the user can chat with. The user will tell his/her detail one by one to the chat bot as asked by the chat bot. The user can even communicate with the chat-bot in their regional/local language. This is not just the one use-case we are trying to cater to. Suppose a particularly beneficiary was scammed out of a service, he/she can use the chat bot to file a (corruption) complain as well. For example, a person with ration card is denied ration by the concerned vendor, then the person can use the chat bot to file the complaint which will redirect the page for the further process.

For example, a person registers on our platform and make his profile. Adds all the details, relevant certificates, etc. Now he is matched with a government scheme - Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The following are the eligibility criterias of the scheme -

General Eligibility:

Indian Citizen: You must be an Indian citizen.

Not Own a Pucca House: Neither you nor any member of your family can own a pucca (all-weather dwelling unit) house anywhere in India.

First-Time Homeowner: The property must be your first house.

No Previous Government Housing Scheme: You or your family must not have availed of any government-backed housing scheme before.

Household Definition: A beneficiary family under the mission comprises husband, wife, unmarried sons, and/or unmarried daughters.

Income Criteria:

EWS: Up to ₹3 lakh per annum.

LIG: Between ₹3 lakh and ₹6 lakh per annum.

MIG I: Between ₹6 lakh and ₹12 lakh per annum.

MIG II: Between ₹12 lakh and ₹18 lakh per annum.
