Project Idea: Open Problem Statement Platform

Concept: A no-login, user-friendly landing page where anyone can submit a problem statement via the prompt “I wish there was _________.” An NLP-powered algorithm instantly matches submissions to existing solutions or creates new discussion threads for unmet needs. Users engage in community-driven brainstorming, while the platform aggregates high-frequency, unsolved problems for monetization.

Value Proposition:

- Users: Low-friction platform to voice frustrations, collaborate on solutions, and discover alternatives.

- Startups/Corporations: Access to real-time, unfiltered consumer pain points for product innovation and market validation.

Monetization:

- Sell aggregated market research reports and advanced analytics subscriptions to startups.

Progress During Hackathon

Built Functional MVP: Developed a no-login landing page with a clean Tailwind CSS-based UI. Users can submit problem statements in natural language via the prompt “I wish there was _________.” NLP Pipeline Implemented: Integrated a lightweight NLP model using sentence embeddings (SBERT) to semantically match new submissions to existing problems or auto-cluster them into new categories if unmatched.
