Varuna is an advanced AI-powered decision support system designed specifically for merchant vessels. The project integrates three sophisticated AI models to enhance maritime safety and operational efficiency:
Threat Detection System: A comprehensive security solution that utilizes computer vision and radar technology to identify and track nearby vessels, potential threats, and suspicious activities in real-time. The system includes object detection capabilities, proximity alerts, and integrated AIS radar monitoring.
Fire Alert System: An advanced fire prevention and detection system that combines thermal imaging with AI analysis. It features real-time thermal camera feeds from critical areas like the engine room, bridge, and cargo bay, complete with automated fire detection, suppression system monitoring, and instant alert notifications.
Navigation Control System: An intelligent navigation assistant that provides real-time route optimization, collision avoidance, and course corrections. The system features a 3D globe visualization, interactive navigation mapping, and AI-powered insights for optimal route planning and vessel management.
The entire system is built with a modern, responsive interface using React and Three.js, offering a seamless user experience while providing critical decision support for maritime operations.
