Description
WorldCupIQ is an AI-powered World Cup analytics and prediction platform built on Injective that combines four cutting-edge technologies:
x402 Micropayments - Users pay $0.01 USDC per premium match report via gasless EIP-3009 signatures, eliminating subscription fees and enabling pay-per-use analytics for both humans and AI agents.
CCTP Cross-Chain Bridging - Seamlessly bridge USDC from Ethereum Sepolia or Base Sepolia to Injective using Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol V2, with real-time attestation polling and automatic minting on the destination chain.
MCP Server - Exposes 7 AI-agent tools including match fixtures, live analytics, standings, and prediction markets through the Model Context Protocol, enabling autonomous AI agents to discover and interact with World Cup data programmatically.
Agent Skills - Provides a reusable "World Cup Analyst" skill that any AI agent can import to evaluate matches, make data-driven predictions, and execute on-chain transactions autonomously.
The platform solves three key problems: opaque betting markets with hidden odds, expensive analytics subscriptions ($30+/month), and no native way for AI agents to participate in the World Cup economy. WorldCupIQ delivers transparent market odds, pay-per-use analytics at $0.01 per report, and full AI agent compatibility with on-chain receipts as an immutable audit trail.
Key Features:
Live match data from football-data.org API with in-memory caching
Real-time AI-powered match predictions and confidence scores
One-click CCTP USDC bridging from Ethereum/Base to Injective
x402 pay-per-call premium analytics with no subscriptions
Autonomous AI agent support via MCP Server and Agent Skills
Transparent prediction markets with on-chain settlement
Progress During Hackathon
Foundation & Architecture
Set up monorepo with TypeScript, Next.js frontend, and Express gateway
Deployed PredictionMarket smart contract on Injective testnet
Integrated football-data.org API with World Cup competition ID (2000)
Implemented in-memory caching with 5-minute TTL and graceful fallback to static snapshot
Core Integrations
Built x402 gateway with EIP-3009 signature verification and settlement
Implemented direct settlement path with funded relayer for gasless payments
Integrated CCTP V2 with 7-parameter depositForBurn (amount, domain, mintRecipient, burnToken, fee, destinationCaller, minFinalityThreshold)
Added attestation polling from Circle's Iris API (testnet: iris-api-sandbox.circle.com)
Created MCP Server with 7 tools: getFixtures, getMatchAnalytics, getStandings, getBracket, getPredictions, getLeaderboard, purchaseAnalysis
Packaged Agent Skill with autonomous strategy execution and portfolio monitoring
Polish & Testing
Fixed CCTP V2 function signatures (4-param V1 → 7-param V2)
Added fallback mechanisms for both V1 and V2 contract versions
Implemented comprehensive error handling with detailed logging
Tested end-to-end flow: Bridge USDC → Pay x402 → Unlock Premium Report
Deployed frontend to Vercel with environment variables
Recorded demo video and prepared submission materials
Challenges Overcome:
CCTP V2 ABI mismatch: Updated from 4-parameter V1 to 7-parameter V2 including fee, destinationCaller, and minFinalityThreshold
x402 signature verification: Implemented proper EIP-3009 domain separation with "USD Coin" name and version "2"
Facilitator unavailability: Built direct settlement path with funded relayer
MessageTransmitter address verification: Fixed by using Circle's official testnet addresses
Current Status:
✅ Smart contracts deployed on Injective testnet
✅ x402 gateway operational with direct settlement
✅ CCTP bridge working with attestation polling
✅ MCP server exposing 7 tools
✅ Agent Skill packaged and reusable
✅ Frontend live with wallet connection, bridging, and payment flows
