"Better You Play, the Less You Pay" — a skills based bar game of fast reflexes.
TabDuel is a skills based bar game of fast reflexes for 2 - 4 players who wager a drink via a smart contract. The object of the game is to stop the light speeding by with the button while it’s in the “strike zone.” Whoever’s the first to miss the Strike Zone 3 times loses and picks up the round of drinks listed in the smart contract. If you snooze you lose and pony up!
The project incorporates hardware components including lighting coded with Arduino, woodworking for the frame and laser engraving of the game board and finally Solidity smart contract logic to divvy up the drink stakes.
Our project meets the Gaming criteria and Governance we contend as the users have to informally decide on playing the game and what drinks they'll stake.
After the opening ceremony, the team convened again on Discord settling in on the idea of a fun skills based bar game. We worked asynch in text chat channels and hopped on Discord video calls to hash out the smart contract logic and coordinate meeting up when and where possible to bring the project to life.
