A UI/UX Consultant analyzes user behavior, conducts research, and designs intuitive, high-fidelity interfaces to enhance digital product usability and engagement. They create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows while collaborating with stakeholders and developers to align design with brand guidelines and technical constraints. This role requires expertise in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD and a focus on user-centered design, usability testing, and, often, strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultant Scope Only (No Coding Required): This role is focused strictly on research, strategy, and design execution. The UI/UX Consultant is not expected to perform front-end or back-end coding; all development work is handled by the engineering team.
- User Research & Strategy: Conduct user interviews, surveys, competitor analysis, and usability testing to identify pain points and user needs.
- Design & Prototyping: Develop user personas, journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile platforms.
- Interaction Design: Create intuitive UI elements, including menus, tabs, and widgets, ensuring seamless interaction flows.
- Collaboration: Work with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centric, feasible technical solutions.
- Optimization: Analyze user behavior data and heatmaps to improve existing designs and iterate based on feedback.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
- UX/UI Knowledge: Strong understanding of information architecture, usability principles, user-centered design, and accessibility standards.
- Prototyping: Ability to create rapid prototypes to communicate design concepts.
- Analytical Skills: Experience with A/B testing and interpreting user analytics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for presenting design concepts and rationales to stakeholders.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, Consultant, or similar role, typically with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects.
