BOBC brings boliviano-denominated payments to Arbitrum. It is an overcollateralized stablecoin protocol designed to target 1 BOBC ≈ 1 Bolivian boliviano, connecting everyday payments in Bolivia with on-chain finance.

Users deposit crvUSD to mint BOBC against individual collateralized positions. The collateral earns lending yield through Curve LlamaLend, while redemption and liquidation mechanisms support the token’s target value. A custom Chainlink CRE workflow observes the boliviano’s parallel-market exchange rate using multiple sources and checks data freshness, liquidity, and price agreement.

The project includes a dashboard for managing borrowing positions and BOBC Pay, a mobile-first payment app with email onboarding, QR transfers, and redemption into crvUSD. Our goal is to make local-currency payments simple while giving users access to Arbitrum’s DeFi ecosystem.

Why Bolivia?

Bolivia’s rapid growth in crypto usage makes it a compelling starting point for BOBC. The Central Bank reported that transaction volume tracked on Binance rose from $46.5 million in the first half of 2024 to $294 million in the same period of 2025, more than sixfold. It also identified stablecoins as a major driver of early growth, with digital assets supporting remittances, purchases, and payments

We built BOBC’s core Vyper contracts, including collateralized minting, repayment, redemption, interest accounting, and liquidation. We implemented the Curve LlamaLend collateral integration and developed a Chainlink CRE pricing workflow with cross-source validation We also built a responsive borrowing dashboard and BOBC Pay, supporting email or wallet login, QR payments, balance viewing, and redemption. Alongside the applications, we added automated tests, protocol documentation, and internal security review fixes The current prototype supports dashboard demonstrations and local oracle simulation. Live deployment and end-to-end transaction validation are the next milestones

BOBC is currently bootstrapped and has not raised external funding. We are seeking ecosystem grants and early-stage support to fund independent security audits, deployment, and pilot integrations with merchants in Bolivia
