From launch to finale, the Living Knowledge Systems Hackathon, hosted by Gaia in collaboration with HackQuest, showcased the best of decentralized AI innovation. Spanning major global tech hubs, including China, India, Brazil, Nigeria, Malaysia, and Singapore, the hackathon engaged over 2,000 developers in workshops, meetups, and hacker houses hosted by HackQuest. The event series focused on building skills in deploying Gaia nodes and creating innovative AI agents on Gaia's decentralized network.
Running from August to October 2024, the hackathon attracted 23,000 registrants, resulting in 768 participants and 268 project submissions. With a $50,000 prize pool, developers were rewarded for their creativity, technical execution, and ability to enhance Gaia’s decentralized AI ecosystem. The initiative also included community voting, with HackQuest awarding additional prizes to encourage broad participation and grassroots innovation.
The hackathon featured multiple tracks, with 11 standout projects recognized for their exceptional quality and contribution to Gaia's mission. Awards highlighted the innovation and impact of these projects, which advanced the boundaries of decentralized AI.

Outstanding work! ●Telegram Search Bot: Febriano Ramadhani created Telegram Search Bot, a cutting-edge tool that integrates AI-powered search capabilities directly into the Telegram platform. By leveraging the Brave Search API, the bot automates web searches to quickly gather information on a wide range of topics. GaiaNet AI enhances the process with advanced content filtering, identifying the most relevant sources and reducing manual effort. The bot also generates contextual responses based on the gathered data, simplifying topic research while maintaining a user-friendly interface. By leveraging Gaia Network, Wikitune facilitates the creation of fine-tuning datasets tailored for specialized use cases, empowering communities to build and refine their own LLMs. This innovative approach enhances open-source AI capabilities, enabling more collaborative and customized AI development. A practical and innovative solution for navigating decentralized AI! ●LazyA: Adarsh Gupta developed LazyA, an innovative tool that automates app interactions using GaiaNet's powerful LLM. With seamless GitHub integration, users can easily connect their accounts and initiate repositories through simple prompts, streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity. By leveraging the capabilities of GaiaNet, LazyA simplifies complex app interactions, making it an indispensable tool for developers! ●EscrowGuild: Shreyan D developed EscrowGuild, an AI-powered platform that automates the creation of secure, one-time smart contracts for escrow trades. By offering an open-source MUA7648 protocol, the platform enables modular interactions, making it easy for users to build and customize their own AI Agents. With strategic partnerships, including collaborations with MIT and Alibaba Cloud, MUA DAO positions itself as a trailblazer in the Web3 and Metaverse ecosystems. ●Gaiaverse: Shlok Jagtap developed Gaiaverse, an innovative platform offering 24/7 AI assistance via mobile calls for applications ranging from travel and healthcare to AI twins.
