Frontend Developer

We're seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic freelance Frontend Developer to join our team on a project basis. This role requires a strong understanding of modern web technologies and a proven ability to build engaging and responsive user interfaces. A passion for games is a must! You'll be working closely with our backend team to bring our game concepts to life, focusing on the player experience and ensuring smooth, intuitive gameplay.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain the frontend of our web-based game(s) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Translate designs and wireframes into clean, efficient, and reusable code.

- Optimize frontend performance for speed and scalability.

- Collaborate with the backend team to integrate frontend code with backend services.

- Implement responsive design to ensure optimal viewing experience across various devices.

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a high-quality user experience.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends.

- Contribute to the overall game design and user experience.

- Proven experience as a frontend developer, with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects (ideally including game-related work).

- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).

- Experience with at least one popular JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js – specify your preference).

- Understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- A genuine passion for video games and a deep understanding of game mechanics.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
