SAP HANA DB Administration

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and work with internal teams to execute database initiatives. 

• Utilize Ansible and Terraform as your arsenal to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments. 

• Provide 24x7 operational support for database systems supporting Procurement and Business Network lines of business. 

• Act as the point of contact for escalated technical issues with our Engineering colleagues, demonstrating deep troubleshooting skills to provide effective resolutions to unblock our partners. 

• Stay on the cutting edge of cloud and database technologies, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization. 

• Have working knowledge on any of the Public Clouds like GCP, AWS, Azure. 

• Be proficient in Linux-based systems and able to write scripts in Python, Shell, or equivalent scripting language. 

• Have a working knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and scalability, enhancing our capability to deploy and manage data services seamlessly. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Proven experience in planning, deploying, supporting, and optimizing highly scalable and resilient database systems. 

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with database technologies such as SAP HANA, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Postgres, and Hadoop. 

• Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform for provisioning and configuration management. 

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and convert them into measurable scopes. 

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide effective resolutions for technical issues. 

• Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. 

• Proficiency in Linux-based systems and scripting languages like Python, Shell, or equivalent. 

• Working knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and scalability. 

• Understands Agile principles and methodologies.
