Finance Manager

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Coordinate and liaise with external accountants for tax filings and audits.
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions.
• Oversee A/p and A/R, ensuring timely vendor payments and cash collections.

Expense Management & Tools

• Own and administer financial software tools including, QuickBooks, Expensify, and Gusto.
• Develop and manage systems for tracking employee expenses and reimbursemets.
• Monito company spending to ensure adherence to budgets.

FP&A and Financial Strategy

• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting and business performance dashboards.
• Analyze cost structures, margins, and operational KPIs to identify optimization opportunities.
• Support pricing, product development, and capital investment decisions with data-driven insights.

Compliance & Risk

• Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP, tax, and state-level cannabis finance regulations.
• Work closely with the internal compliance leader and external compliance consultants.
• Mitigate financial risks by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.
• Prepare documentation for adults, grant applications, and investor reporting.

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate cross-functionally with department leads to support company-wide initiatives.
• Report directly to the CEO with clear financial updates, insights, and recommendations.
• Work in tandem with operations, marketing, compliance, and product teams to align financial strategy with business goals.
