Esports Social & Community Operations Lead

Work Setup: Hybrid (2x onsite per week, 4x remote)


Job Summary

The Social & Community Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing social media and community operations across multiple platforms. This role focuses on content coordination, publishing management, moderation oversight, community engagement, reporting, and cross-platform execution to ensure consistent brand presence and smooth day-to-day social operations within the esports and gaming industry.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, trend-aware, proactive, and knowledgeable in managing gaming and esports communities across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, YouTube, and similar channels.


Key Responsibilities


Social Media & Content Operations

  • Manage and oversee daily social media operations across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Own and maintain the social media content calendar, scheduling, and publishing timelines.
  • Coordinate with creatives, editors, moderators, and internal teams for content execution.
  • Ensure timely posting, platform optimization, and consistency of brand messaging across all channels.
  • Monitor platform performance, engagement trends, and audience activity.


Community Management & Moderation

  • Oversee daily community engagement and moderation activities.
  • Coordinate closely with moderators to ensure proper implementation of community guidelines and responses.
  • Monitor community concerns, escalations, feedback, and potential issues across platforms.
  • Help maintain a positive, active, and engaging online community environment.


Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare regular social media and community performance reports.
  • Track KPIs including engagement, reach, growth, activity, and campaign performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving content performance and community engagement.


Cross-Platform Coordination

  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between social media, moderation, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Assist in campaign rollouts, announcements, partnerships, and platform activations.
  • Support execution of esports, gaming, and community-related initiatives when needed.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media management, community management, or digital operations related with esports.
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, and YouTube.
  • Familiarity with gaming, esports, livestream, or online community culture is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written communication and moderation judgment.
  • Ability to multitask and manage fast-paced online operations.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools is an advantage.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling gaming or esports communities.
  • Background in content planning, moderation management, or livestream coordination.
  • Familiarity with meme culture, gaming trends, and internet community behavior.
