Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SQA Test Lead to drive end-to-end quality engineering for enterprise-grade systems within trade, supply chain, and financial services domains. This role is responsible for defining test strategy, leading automation initiatives, and ensuring high-quality releases through strong governance, risk management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Leadership
- Own and continuously improve the overall test strategy and quality engineering approach, including test levels, environments, tools, automation, and release readiness criteria
- Lead key quality activities such as test planning, defect triage, and release readiness reviews
- Drive risk mitigation, root cause analysis, and preventive actions across delivery teams
Test Planning & Execution
- Review project artifacts (e.g., requirements, design documents) to ensure test readiness and coverage
- Develop and maintain master test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and reports
- Conduct final cycles of functional, integration, and performance testing prior to release
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product demonstrations
Test Automation & CI/CD
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks (UI/API) using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Datadog
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or equivalent) with quality gates and deployment validation
- Improve automation reliability by addressing flaky tests and execution performance
Data Validation & Reporting
- Automate data validation, reconciliation, and reporting processes
- Track and report on key quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and automation success rates
- Produce clear, decision-oriented test reports and dashboards for stakeholders
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Act as focal point for product owners and business users during testing cycles
- Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external vendors
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to QA team members
Key Deliverables
- Approved Test Strategy and Master Test Plan
- Automation frameworks and maintainable test suites (UI/API/regression)
- Test execution evidence and vendor validation reports
- Final Test Completion and Release Readiness Report (with go/no-go recommendations)
- Quality dashboards and reporting in Azure DevOps
- Test scenarios and cases for final test cycles prior to UAT
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software testing, with strong leadership as a Test Lead
- Proven experience in Agile environments and cross-functional delivery teams
- Hands-on experience with test automation and CI/CD integration
- Experience testing financial systems, banking, or regulated environments (required)
- Background in system integration, APIs, data validation, and reporting systems
- Experience supporting audits, data migration, and compliance (advantage)
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Azure DevOps (Test Plans & Pipelines)
- Selenium, Cucumber, or equivalent automation tools
- API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI)
- Performance tools (JMeter, Datadog Synthetics)
- Ability to design and execute automation frameworks and strategies
- Familiarity with:
- Frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular)
- Backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Java)
- Solid understanding of databases and SQL querying
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Background in Finance or Accounting is a plus
- Certification in test automation or QA is preferred

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid work setup; required to report onsite in Pasig as needed
