Salary:  €90k – €130k per year + Founding-Level Equity

Location: Munich, Germany (On-site)

Job Overview

Join a pioneering, seed-backed preventive health AI startup in Munich as a Founding Senior Full Stack Engineer. In this role, you'll work closely with the founding team to steer the technological development of a groundbreaking digital health platform. You'll develop and own backend services and customer-facing web functionalities using Python, FastAPI, and a modern web stack including Next.js and React. Integrating advanced machine learning outputs into user-friendly flows and data pipelines will be a key area of collaboration with our ML and biostatistics teams. 


Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the founding team and contribute to the overall direction of tech development
  • Develop the backend and related customer-facing web services that power the company's platform
  • Own the development of product features end-to-end, from architecture through production
  • Shape the product vision and make core decisions on which technologies to adopt
  • Partner with the ML and biostatistics team on integrating model outputs into user-facing flows and insurer-integrated data pipelines
  • Maintain a strong automated CI/CD culture and push the team''s engineering standards
  • Stay current with industry trends and bring new technologies into the stack where they serve the product


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • Primary backend expertise in Python and FastAPI
  • Production experience with a modern web stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, Next.js, React
  • Previous startup or other high-ownership environment experience
  • Strong understanding of the full SDLC
  • Experience shipping with a strong focus on automated CI/CD
  • Excellent written and spoken English (working language)
  • Able to work on-site in Munich, Germany
