Position: Business Development Executive (Automotive & Franchise Partnerships)
About the role
The Business Development Executive grows ServAuto's partner and franchise network by engaging, qualifying and converting workshop owners, automotive operators and business investors. The role combines company-generated lead management with field sales, relationship building and disciplined follow-up.
We welcome candidates from two backgrounds: automotive aftermarket B2B sales (engine oil, tyres, spare parts), or franchise / investment sales from any industry.
Job Description:
Lead management & qualification
Contact inbound leads from Meta, Google and other company marketing channels.
Qualify prospects on business background, workshop profile, requirements, investment capability and level of interest.
Respond to new enquiries promptly and follow up consistently until a clear outcome is reached.
Generate additional prospects through cold calling, referrals, networking and workshop visits.
Franchise & partnership sales
Present ServAuto's franchise and partnership models to workshop owners and investors.
Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations and site visits with qualified prospects.
Understand prospect needs, handle objections and lead commercial discussions professionally.
Move opportunities through negotiation to closing, and work towards monthly acquisition targets.
Field sales & workshop engagement
Visit automotive workshops, service centres, tyre shops and related businesses (around 4–5 visits per day, depending on territory and appointments).
Build relationships with owners, operators and key decision-makers.
Understand workshop operations, purchasing behaviour, challenges and expansion plans.
Pipeline management & reporting
Keep an organised pipeline from Lead → Qualified → Meeting → Negotiation → Closing, with accurate records in internal systems.
Submit daily and weekly reports on leads contacted, qualified prospects, meetings, visits, deals in negotiation and expected closing dates.
Hand over closed deals smoothly to the relevant internal teams.
Territory & market development
Map automotive workshop clusters and low-coverage areas within assigned territories.
Track competitor activity and share market feedback with management.
Job Requirement:
Minimum 2 years of sales or business development experience in automotive aftermarket B2B sales or franchise/investment sales (any industry).
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, target-driven and well-organised, with good time management and follow-up skills.
Comfortable with cold calling, face-to-face meetings, field visits and engaging with business owners or investors.
Must possess own transportation and be willing to travel within assigned regions.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, while Mandarin is an advantage, with the ability to communicate with Chinese-speaking teams and stakeholders.
