Agri-Intel addresses systemic agricultural exploitation within African commodity trading by seamlessly bridging real-time, predictive market insights (AI) with unbreakable payment security (Blockchain).
Our core product and innovation is the Price-Aware Escrow Smart Contract deployed on Sepolia, which is engineered to automatically reject payments that are unfairly low under the safe threshold compared to the objective, true market rates supplied by our live AI-powered API.
This unique system effectively removes price manipulation risks and enables smallholder farmers in Africa to receive instant, blockchain-guaranteed payment for their harvests, creating unavoidable conditions for fair trade.

During the hackathon period, we successfully built, executed, tested, and deployed two foundational components of our solution. This includes, first, the Live Market Insight API (our core AI component) hosted on Render, which currently simulates real-time price discovery. Second, we deployed and verified the Price-Aware Escrow Contract (Blockchain component) on the Sepolia Testnet, proving the feasibility of the on-chain enforcement mechanism. Our source code, deployment addresses, and technical documentation are publicly verifiable on the GitHub repository.

Currently Pre-Seed, and hoping to seek seed-stage investment for product development and pilot programs, starting with a potential winning prize from this hackathon. Our current MVP validates the technical feasibility of the AI-to-Blockchain enforcement model, but dedicated funding is required to execute three critical milestones: 1) Integrating a production-ready price oracle (e.g., Chainlink). 2) Expanding the AI model to cover five key African commodity markets, and 3) Developing a simplified mobile interface for farmer onboarding and access. Our success in this hackathon demonstrates technical readiness to move immediately into the Seed stage.
