Beaver DAM is a project that aims to unite communities and dApps in a fair and transparent reward system, with DAOs that are truly decentralized at their core, built using Valocraica's technology.
Beaver DAM is an innovative platform for decentralized governance and engagement in the Linea ecosystem, powered by Valocracy. It separates political and economic power through NFTs to create a more fair, transparent, and meritocratic governance and incentive system.
Ineffective Governance in DAOs – Governance in traditional DAOs is often manipulated by large token holders, creating false decentralization and discouraging active community participation.
Poorly Structured Rewards – Traditional models, such as airdrops, encourage speculation rather than real contributions, leading to low user retention.
Lack of Transparency – Projects struggle to fairly measure and reward community participation.
Low Community Engagement – Many users join only for financial incentives and abandon the project once opportunities diminish.
NFTs with No Real Utility – Many PFP collections lack a solid mechanism to generate impact and engagement within the ecosystem.
Beaver DAM addresses these issues with a model based on NFTs as participation keys and using Valocracy technology to balance governance and economy:
Real Decentralized Governance: Only those who contribute can make decisions, without influence from large investors.
NFTs as Participation Criteria: Exclusive access for holders of NFT collections in the Linea ecosystem, creating value for collections and uniting and strengthening the ecosystem.
NFTs as Records of Participation: Every contribution is rewarded and transparently recorded through:
Wood Logs (Soulbound NFTs) – Represent governance power and cannot be transferred or sold.
Wood Keys (Tradable NFTs) – Grant a proportional withdrawal right from the treasury, allowing access to accumulated incentives.
Financial Sustainability: The treasury storing incentives can only be accessed by burning Wood Keys, ensuring a safer economy where what belongs to the community cannot be diverted or manipulated.
Connection Between Users and Ecosystem: Projects that wish to participate in Beaver DAM, as well as the communities involved, are encouraged to reach a balance between engagement and reward.
1 - Campaign Proposal – A project proposes a campaign within Beaver DAM.
2 - Community Voting – Wood Logs holders vote to approve or reject the campaign.
3 - Campaign Execution – The campaign is launched on a quest platform.
4 - Reward Distribution – Through Beaver DAM, participants who complete the campaign receive Wood Logs (governance power) and Wood Keys (treasury withdrawal rights).
5 - Treasury Deposit – The project deposits funds in the treasury to incentivize participation.
6 - Growth Cycle – With new campaigns and more engagement, the ecosystem strengthens in a fair, transparent, and sustainable way.
New Value for NFTs – Only NFT holders can access the platform, bringing real utility to collections like Beaver Builder, Efrogs, Foxy, and others.
Efficient and Sustainable Engagement – Projects ensure that incentives reach truly active members, fostering stronger and more durable communities.
Decentralized and Meritocratic Governance – Decision-making power belongs to engaged participants, creating alignment between users and projects.
Introduction of Valocracy Technology to the Ecosystem – Beaver DAM is the first practical implementation of Valocracy, but any project can adopt this technology for governance, engagement, and economy.
Beaver DAM is currently operating on the testnet in Linea Sepolia (https://app.beaverdam.build).
Access to the Beaver DAM Testnet is restricted to those who hold the Beaver Builder Testnet NFT (https://on.mintpad.co/beaver-test).
The initial stage of Beaver DAM on the Linea Mainnet will only be accessible to holders of the Beaver Builder NFT collection (https://element.market/collections/beaverbuilder).
Campaigns on Beaver DAM created on quest platforms will have PoH (Proof of Humanity) requirements using Privado ID and Verax to ensure that members are real users and to prevent Sybil attacks.
Due to the lack of integration of Linea Sepolia with quest platforms, during the Beaver DAM testnet, there will only be manual verification campaigns without the need to create campaigns (even for examples).
