# CLEAR-GAS: Autonomous On-Chain Gas Clearinghouse
### The Problem: The Retail Subsidy Cliff
A retail user deposits $50 in Paxos USDG onto Robinhood Chain, but cannot trade or transfer because they have zero native ETH for gas. Up to 95% of first-time retail users drop off when asked to acquire a secondary volatile token just to pay transaction fees. Meanwhile, traditional paymasters either subsidize gas indefinitely at an unsustainable loss or rely on fragile off-chain pricing relays that bleed capital during market volatility.
### The Solution: Deterministic Gas Clearing
CLEAR-GAS is a dual-engine gas clearinghouse that allows users to pay transaction gas directly in USDG with zero ETH:
1. Atomic EIP-2612 Gas Permits: The user signs an off-chain gas authorization in USDG directly inside the UserOperation.
2. On-Chain Settlement: The ClearGasPaymaster fronts the native gas to Robinhood Chain sequencers and recovers the fee in USDG atomically.
3. Tri-State Epistemic Oracle Guard: If Pyth oracle spread exceeds 150 bps or the price feed is older than 60 seconds, the contract halts deterministically on-chain before user funds are exposed.
4. Arbitrum Stylus WASM Engine: A Rust/WebAssembly preflight verifier reduces validation overhead by 94.7% (14,180 gas vs 264,428 gas on Solidity), making micro-swaps economically viable for retail.
