## 💡 Inspiration

Small businesses are the backbone of economies worldwide, yet they're the most vulnerable when disaster strikes. We were inspired by the devastating reality that 90% of small businesses in developing countries have no disaster preparedness plan, and 60% never reopen after a crisis.

We saw families losing their life's work to floods, pandemics, and economic crashes—not because they didn't care, but because enterprise-grade crisis management tools were too expensive, too complex, and simply not designed for them. We wanted to change that.

CrisisShield was born from a simple belief: every business deserves a fighting chance. Crisis preparedness shouldn't be a luxury reserved for large corporations. With AI and modern cloud technology, we can democratize access to life-saving tools and level the playing field.

🛡️ CrisisShield - Your AI-Powered Business Protection

本次黑客松进展

# Progress During Hackathon CrisisShield was built from scratch during the hackathon as a full-stack AI-powered crisis management platform. The development started with planning the architecture and database schema, followed by setting up Next.js 15 with TypeScript, Clerk authentication, and Supabase database. The core features were then implemented including AI threat prediction using Cerebras, emergency plan generation, recovery tracking with 6 stages, crisis management system, funding opportunity matching, business analytics dashboard, threat report generator, and an AI crisis assistant. Each feature was built with real-time data synchronization, mobile-responsive design, and proper error handling. The biggest challenges included optimizing AI response times (solved by switching to Cerebras for sub-2-second responses), designing a complex database schema with 8 interconnected tables, implementing real-time updates without stale data, ensuring mobile responsiveness across all features, and managing time to deliver all planned features. The authentication flow required careful middleware configuration to avoid redirect loops, and extensive prompt engineering was needed to generate personalized, actionable AI responses rather than generic advice. Despite these challenges, all 8 core features were completed and tested, with the platform successfully deployed to production on Netlify. The final product includes over 5,000 lines of code across 50+ files, with 15+ React components, 10+ API routes, and a complete database schema. The platform achieves sub-2-second AI responses, page loads under 2 seconds, and database queries under 500ms. It's fully mobile-responsive, includes comprehensive error handling, and is ready to protect small businesses from disasters. The tech stack combines Next.js 15, React 18, TypeScript, Cerebras AI, Supabase, Clerk, and Bootstrap to create a scalable, production-ready solution that addresses a real-world problem affecting 400+ million businesses globally.
