Digital Inheritance Vault

A blockchain-based "dead man's switch" for digital asset inheritance built with MetaMask Smart Accounts on Monad Testnet. Owners create time-locked vaults that automatically transfer assets to designated beneficiaries if they fail to check in periodically, using ERC-7710 delegation caveats to enforce timestamp, one-time claim, and transfer amount restrictions.

The system leverages MetaMask's Hybrid smart account implementation with multi-caveat delegations, allowing vault owners to prove they're alive through regular check-ins that disable old delegations and create new ones with extended deadlines. Beneficiaries receive signed delegations that become active only after the deadline passes, enabling them to redeem their allocated inheritance percentage by submitting the delegation to the DelegationManager contract. The entire workflow—vault creation, beneficiary setup, periodic check-ins, and inheritance claiming—is managed through a Next.js web interface with server-side vault state persistence, making digital asset succession planning accessible and automated on Monad's high-performance blockchain.
