Demand is a demand-first marketplace where buyers commit capital before suppliers exist. Capital proves demand; suppliers respond to markets buyers have already created.

Demand is a demand-first marketplace where buyers create markets before suppliers exist.
Traditional marketplaces begin with supply: someone lists a product or service and then searches for customers. Demand reverses that model. Buyers describe what they want, set a funding target and deadline, and commit USDG toward it. Once enough capital is committed, the opportunity becomes Demand Proven, giving suppliers a credible signal that customers and purchasing power already exist.
Committed USDG is held by the Demand smart contract. Suppliers can respond to proven demand, a supplier can be selected, fulfillment can be reported and confirmed, and only then is the escrowed USDG released.
Demand is independently deployed on Arbitrum Sepolia and Robinhood Chain Testnet, using Paxos test USDG. We executed the complete lifecycle on Robinhood Chain Testnet: backing → demand proven → supplier response → supplier selection → delivery → confirmation → USDG settlement.
The larger vision is a credible demand graph: showing suppliers what people want, where they want it, what they're willing to pay, and how much purchasing power is already waiting for someone to supply it.
Demand was built end-to-end during the Buildathon: product design, Solidity escrow contract, automated tests, Arbitrum Sepolia and Robinhood Chain Testnet deployments, Paxos test USDG integration, wallet-connected frontend, demand creation and discovery, buyer commitments and refunds, supplier offers and selection, fulfillment confirmation, settlement, onchain event indexing, responsive UI, production deployment, and end-to-end testnet validation. The complete lifecycle was successfully executed with 1 test USDG released to the selected supplier after fulfillment confirmation.
Bootstrapped. No external funding raised to date. Demand was built as a hackathon MVP, and I am open to grants and ecosystem support to continue developing it beyond the Buildathon. Immediate priorities are validating the demand-first model with real users, strengthening the smart contracts and settlement flow, and preparing for a production deployment.
