EduDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) designed to promote inclusive education initiatives for people with disabilities.
EduDAO is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) designed to foster inclusive education for individuals with disabilities by leveraging blockchain technology and the EDUchain ecosystem. In a world where over 1 billion people live with some form of disability, EduDAO aims to break barriers and empower communities through decentralized, transparent, and community-driven solutions.
Built on EDUchain, a Layer 3 blockchain on Arbitrum Orbit, EduDAO enables seamless governance, equitable participation, and auditable transparency for all stakeholders. It embodies the vision of democratized education access by funding innovative, on-chain proposals that directly impact learners with disabilities.
Decentralized Governance: Allow community members to propose and vote on education-focused initiatives using governance tokens.
Transparency: Ensure that all transactions and decisions are recorded on-chain and publicly verifiable via EDUchain.
Accessibility: Fund and support proposals that specifically target barriers to education for disabled learners, such as screen readers, sign language platforms, and Braille resources.
Scalability: Lay the foundation for a global, DAO-governed platform that can scale across countries, languages, and educational systems.
Proposal System: DAO members can create and submit project proposals. Examples include building accessible learning tools or launching disability-inclusive education campaigns.
Token-Based Voting: Governance tokens determine voting rights, giving power to the community to allocate funding transparently.
Transparency Dashboard: An open, on-chain dashboard for tracking proposals, community discussions, voting status, and project outcomes.
Blockchain Integration: All logic, governance, and funding flows are securely managed via smart contracts deployed on EDUchain.
Blockchain: EDUchain – for smart contracts, token operations, and on-chain governance.
Smart Contracts: Written in Solidity for managing proposals, votes, and treasury functions.
Frontend: Built with React.js for an intuitive and accessible user interface.
Backend: Powered by Node.js or Python for API and server-side logic.
Storage: Decentralized storage using IPFS or EDUchain’s native solutions for proposals and project documents.
Wallet Integration: MetaMask and WalletConnect support for seamless DAO participation.
Members: Hold governance tokens, submit proposals, and vote on initiatives.
Beneficiaries: Individuals and organizations creating proposals for inclusive education projects.
Admins: Oversee core DAO functions, resolve disputes, and manage smart contracts if needed.
Proposal Submission: A community member submits a project proposal aimed at inclusive education.
Discussion Phase: Proposals are discussed in community forums or DAO chat groups.
Voting Period: Members vote using governance tokens. Votes are recorded on-chain.
Execution & Tracking: Approved proposals receive funding and progress is tracked via the updates page.
Homepage: Mission statement, active proposals, DAO stats, and quick access to all core pages.
Proposal Page: Browse and view proposals with title, description, requested budget, and execution timeline.
Voting Page: Participate in active votes using token-based voting.
Project Updates Page: Monitor updates from funded proposals and their real-world impact.
Deploy governance, proposal, and treasury smart contracts.
Build initial frontend for proposal submissions and community voting.
Integrate with EDUchain for secure on-chain operations.
Distribute governance tokens to early contributors.
Launch a pilot proposal and collect feedback.
Iterate based on user testing and DAO community engagement.
Open DAO to the global community.
Support multilingual, multi-region participation.
Expand to support a wide range of inclusive education projects worldwide.
EduDAO is a powerful contribution to the EDUchain ecosystem with the following:
TVL & Ecosystem Growth: Every funded proposal increases total value locked (TVL) and incentivizes participation across the EDUchain ecosystem.
User Adoption: By onboarding educators, activists, and learners, EduDAO expands EDUchain’s user base beyond developers.
Community-Driven Education: It decentralizes the way education finance works by letting the community decide what projects are worth funding.
Real-World Impact: Delivers visible education impact by bridging the gap between blockchain and social good.
Scalable Infrastructure: Sets a blueprint for future on-chain DAOs solving educational challenges globally.

Participating in the hackathon was a deeply rewarding experience that allowed my team and I to push the boundaries of what decentralized education can look like. We came in with a bold idea — to build EduDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization focused on promoting inclusive education for people with disabilities using the power of blockchain and the EDUchain ecosystem. During the hackathon, we successfully achieved significant milestones across design, development, and smart contract integration: Product Design: We started by mapping out user personas, user flows, and accessibility challenges. Our UI/UX designer led the creation of a Figma prototype that captures the core functionality and vision of EduDAO, including proposal submission, token-based voting, transparency dashboards, and a vibrant homepage that communicates the DAO’s mission. The design ensures accessibility, with thoughtful layouts for users with visual impairments and cognitive challenges. Frontend Development: Leveraging React.js, we built the core frontend application for EduDAO. This included: - A homepage introducing the DAO and its goals. - A proposals page listing current and past initiatives. - A voting interface integrated with wallet authentication. - A project update page to track the progress of approved projects. We prioritized a clean, intuitive interface with responsiveness across devices. Wallet integration (via MetaMask) was implemented to allow real-time interaction with the blockchain, including submitting and voting on proposals. Backend & Blockchain Integration: On the blockchain side, we wrote and deployed smart contracts on EDUchain for: - Governance token distribution - Proposal submission and tracking - Voting mechanics and result validation - Treasury management for funding approved proposals All transactions were recorded on-chain to ensure transparency and auditability — a key pillar of EduDAO. Our backend logic interacted seamlessly with the contracts and ensured real-time updates to the frontend. We also leveraged IPFS for storing project metadata, proposals, and related documents in a decentralized and tamper-proof way. Team Collaboration: Despite tight deadlines, we worked in sync, dividing responsibilities across design, frontend, smart contracts, documentation, and product strategy. Our team dynamic, driven by shared passion for educational equity, was the true engine behind our progress.
As of now, EduDAO has not raised external funding, but we are actively exploring strategic opportunities to support and scale our mission. We plan to raise funds through: - Web3 grants and ecosystem funds (including EDU Chain and other DeFi/EduFi-focused grants), - Contributions from friends, partners, and community supporters who align with our mission, - DAO crowdfunding, allowing community members to support directly via governance tokens. Our approach to fundraising is deeply rooted in sustainability and community alignment. By leveraging grant opportunities and building strong partnerships, we are confident in securing the resources needed to expand EduDAO into a global platform for inclusive education. We see EduDAO as more than a hackathon project, it’s a long-term solution to educational inequality, and we’re committed to seeing it thrive.
