PaperMint is a Web3-native marketplace where researchers, academics, and institutions can mint, sell, and securely distribute premium research papers as NFTs, with zero trust, end-to-end encryption, and in-browser decryption.
No servers. No third-party access. Only the NFT owner can decrypt and view the paper, directly in the browser.

During the hackathon, I developed a fully functional MVP for PaperVault, covering the end-to-end flow from upload to secure preview. Key milestones included implementing AES-256-ECB client-side encryption with CryptoJS for PDFs, IPFS storage via Lighthouse SDK, and NFT minting on Flow Testnet with keys embedded in metadata. I overcame challenges like stack overflows on large files (fixed with TextDecoder chunking) and Vercel deployment errors (resolved with proper exports and env vars).
