Konnect is a Solana-powered campus marketplace designed to ignite the next generation of entrepreneurs by turning universities into self-sustaining digital economies.

On one side, student sellers gain a launchpad for their businesses: verified storefronts, instant Solana payments, transparent escrow protection, and blockchain-based reputation badges that grow with every successful transaction. They no longer hustle in isolation; Konnect transforms their side gigs into scalable micro-enterprises.

On the other side, student buyers gain access to a trusted, community-driven hub where they can discover affordable goods and services, enjoy faster and cheaper payments, and support their peers with confidence. Every transaction fuels the local student economy instead of leaking out to big corporations.

Built on Solana, Konnect isn’t just a marketplace; it’s a social-financial network that merges commerce, trust, and community into one seamless experience. By connecting buyers and sellers through secure, transparent, and lightning-fast transactions, Konnect empowers students to fund their education, create jobs, and build wealth; all starting on campus.

During the hackathon, we pushed Konnect from concept to a fully functional MVP, showcasing its potential to transform campus commerce: MVP Marketplace Live: Built and deployed the MVP version of Konnect with full buyer and seller flows; onboarding, marketplace selection, product listings, wallet integration, and transaction tracking. Solana-Powered Payments: Integrated Solana wallets for seamless, low-cost student-to-student payments with escrow protection to guarantee trust in every trade. Verified Storefronts: Enabled student entrepreneurs to create blockchain-verified shops, complete with profiles, reputation badges, and product catalogs. Dark-Theme App UI: Delivered a student-friendly, dark-mode design system across all core screens (onboarding, dashboards, listings, messaging, and checkout). Marketplace Creation Logic: Implemented the feature where new universities can request or auto-generate a campus marketplace, ensuring scalability across regions. Interactive Demo: Judges and users can walk through the entire transaction flow in real time, from signing up to making a Solana-powered purchase. By hackathon’s end, Konnect is not just a prototype; it’s a working MVP already primed for pilot testing with student communities. This positions us for immediate validation, user onboarding, and rapid iteration post-hackathon.
