Neo-Card: Transforming School IDs for a Smarter, Safer Campus

Neo-Card, developed by Coding Crusaders, is an innovative project aimed at revolutionizing the traditional school ID card system. We envision a future where students can seamlessly and securely make payments, track attendance, and access campus resources, all with a simple tap of their Neo-Card. Our solution addresses the common challenges faced by schools, including restrictions on smart devices and limited access to UPI-based payment systems.

The Problem: Many schools struggle with inefficient attendance tracking, security concerns related to physical ID cards, and limited options for cashless payments within the campus. Existing solutions often involve complicated systems or are restricted by school policies regarding smart devices.

Our Solution: Neo-Card provides a unified, NFC-based system that replaces traditional ID cards with a smart, digital alternative. Students can use their Neo-Card for:

• Cashless Payments: Make secure and convenient purchases at the cafeteria, bookstore, and other campus locations.

• Automated Attendance Tracking: Effortlessly check in and out of classes and school events.

• Secure Access Control: Gain access to authorized areas, such as labs, libraries, and dormitories.

MVP Focus: This Minimum Viable Product (MVP) demonstrates the core user interface and design of the Neo-Card system. The MVP includes:

• Digital ID Card Display: A clear and accessible display of student information, including name, photo, and ID number.

• Customizable Card Designs: Options for schools to brand the Neo-Card with their logo and colors.

• Simulated NFC Interaction: A simulated demonstration of the NFC functionality to showcase how the system will work in practice.

• User-Friendly Interface: An intuitive and easy-to-use interface for students of all ages.

Future Development: We plan to expand Neo-Card by integrating a secure backend system, implementing full NFC functionality, and adding features such as parental controls and detailed transaction history. Our goal is to create a comprehensive solution that improves the student experience and enhances campus security.
