OpenFi is a decentralized lending protocol that allows users to borrow stablecoins (USDC, USDT) by collateralizing tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) such as real estate and money market funds.
🌍 Problem
Most DeFi lending protocols only support crypto-native assets. Meanwhile, trillions of dollars in real-world value—like real estate and low-risk financial instruments—remain untapped, stuck in traditional finance.

OpenFi bridges the gap between TradFi and DeFi through RWA-backed lending:

Asset originators tokenize RWAs (e.g., via ERC-721 or ERC-1155)
Borrowers deposit these tokens as collateral into OpenFi lending pools
They receive stablecoins (USDC/USDT) based on asset value and loan parameters
Depositors earn real yield from borrower repayments linked to off-chain assets
