Othello is a safer onchain savings circle. Friends pay in together, receive the pot in turn, and lock a shared promise so the circle can keep moving if someone stops paying.
Othello brings the savings-circle model, ajo, esusu and tontine, onchain. A group contributes each round, one member receives the full pot in turn, and members lock a test USDG promise plus a shared reserve before the circle begins. The problem is simple: after someone receives their turn, they can stop paying. Othello makes that risk visible and protects the remaining circle with locked cover, a safety haircut, a shared reserve, missed-payment handling, and an onchain payout gate. Built for Robinhood Chain testnet, with test USDG for circle payments and Robinhood’s testnet Stock Tokens shown as separate assets.
