ParkSpot is a web application that helps drivers and car owners to find out the nearest parking spot to park their vehicle with price picture and booking or reserve facility, efficiently.
ParkSpot – Improving Urban Parking Efficiency
ParkSpot is a thoughtfully designed web application that aims to revolutionize the way urban parking is managed and experienced. Built with a clean, intuitive interface, it allows users to explore parking spots on an interactive map, view their availability in real-time, and reserve spaces in advance—eliminating the stress and uncertainty of finding a spot, especially in busy city areas. Our lightweight yet powerful frontend ensures a fast and seamless user experience, while the scalable backend lays the foundation for robust features ahead.
While the current version showcases the core vision and functionality of ParkSpot, we acknowledge that it is a work in progress. Several features—such as live occupancy updates, payment integration, user analytics, and advanced admin controls—are part of our development roadmap. What we’ve built so far is a solid, scalable MVP that demonstrates our commitment to solving a real-world problem with technology, and with further development, ParkSpot is set to become a full-fledged smart parking solution.
Over the course of the hackathon, we transformed a raw idea into a working prototype of ParkSpot. Starting with collaborative brainstorming, we outlined the core pain points in urban parking and mapped out a solution that balances technical feasibility with user convenience. We then developed the frontend using React and Vite, built interactive map components, and connected it with a basic backend to simulate parking data management. We also tackled challenges related to deployment, build configuration, and repository management. While time constraints limited us from integrating all envisioned features and deploying it. We focused on creating a clean, scalable foundation. The current prototype reflects our commitment, teamwork, and a clear direction for future development—which we are excited to pursue even after the hackathon.
Currently, we have not started seeking funding for ParkSpot. Our primary focus is on further developing and optimizing the application’s features. Once the platform matures and gains initial traction, we will begin exploring fundraising opportunities to support future growth, feature expansion, and marketing efforts.
