PeerBet solves the chronic problem of student disengagement by introducing real-world financial incentives through decentralized staking. Students use WFLOW (Flow's wrapped native token) to bet on the predicted exam scores of their classmates—or themselves—for any event launched by a Verified Instructor. This transforms a dull leaderboard into a dynamic, engaging prediction market, fostering true accountability.
The system is split into two core dashboards:
Verifier Dashboard (Instructor): Allows verified users to create classes, set exam parameters, and submit the final grades. This grading action triggers the settlement logic on our Flow EVM smart contracts.
Student Dashboard: This is the staking and analytics hub. Students can join classes, place stakes, and track their performance. Crucially, all their analytics—total staked, win rate, and total profits—are fetched live using the Blockscout API. This ensures every win and loss is transparent and verifiable directly on the Flow blockchain, providing students with immediate, on-chain reward claiming and a competitive, data-driven experience. PeerBet is built on the proven framework of our original StakED project, representing a complete migration and powerful evolution onto the Flow network.
Achieved a successful migration of the entire core contract logic (ExamStaking, StakEDManager) from our original project, validating the Existing Code Integration track. Fully deployed the smart contracts and configured the environment to operate natively on the Flow EVM, utilizing WFLOW for all staking and reward settlements. Implemented the Verifier on-chain grading action, ensuring the single press of a button triggers atomic, trustless reward distribution via the smart contract. Integrated the Blockscout API for all student analytics, ensuring performance metrics (win rate, profit) are derived directly from verifiable on-chain data for full transparency. Built a functional, modern full-stack application (React/Node/MongoDB) that delivers the core 'Killer App' use case end-to-end: from exam creation to reward claiming.
