RugMania: Provably Fair Gaming on Mantle
RugMania is a high-stakes survival game designed to solve the trust and sustainability issues in Web3 gaming.
The Problem
Trust: Players cannot verify if game outcomes are fair or rigged by the house.
Sustainability: Most games are Ponzis funded only by new players. When hype dies, the game dies.
Our Solution RugMania creates a transparent "Play-to-Win" economy:
Gameplay: Players connect via Privy (frictionless login), bet $MNT, and navigate 3-5 doors. Safe door = Multiplier increases. Wrong door = Game Over. Players can cash out anytime or risk it all for 100x returns.
Provably Fair Tech: We implemented a Commit-Reveal Cryptographic Scheme. Every outcome is determined by a seed committed on-chain before the player acts. This mathematically proves the House cannot manipulate results.
Native Yield Economy: Instead of the House just taking profit, the "House Edge" is architected to route into a Treasury holding Mantle's Native Yield assets (mETH). The passive yield generated from these assets helps replenish the prize pool, creating a more sustainable economy.

During the hackathon, we began by tackling the "trust deficit" in crypto gaming. We identified that players avoid on-chain games because of clunky wallets and unfair algorithms, so we aimed to build a seamless, transparent alternative. We designed a "high-tension" UI with Next.js and integrated Privy to remove the friction of seed phrases. On the backend, we successfully deployed the core game logic to Mantle Sepolia, specifically engineering the "Commit-Reveal" RNG system to guarantee fairness. Crucially, we architected the economic model for the "Yield-Backed Treasury." While the full integration with Mantle Vaults is scheduled for Phase 2, we finalized the design for routing protocol revenue into mETH staking strategies. Overall, we delivered a fully functional, provably fair MVP that is ready for the testnet.
