TAG IT Verify

TAG IT Verify is a physical-asset authenticity oracle for AI agents, live on OKX.AI as an Agentic Service Provider (Agent ID 6265, X Layer).

THE PROBLEM: agents can already move money — swap, pay, settle on-chain without human handoff. But nothing in that loop can tell them whether the physical good behind a transaction is real. Counterfeiting is a $500B+ problem, and agentic commerce inherits it on day one.

WHAT IT DOES: one free A2MCP call answers the question "is this item real?" Input: an asset tag ID from an NTAG 424 DNA chip bonded to the item. Output: a cryptographic verdict — authentic yes/no, lifecycle state, flagged status, custody summary — plus a chainRef (contract + token ID on Base Sepolia) so any party can independently re-verify on-chain. Read-only, rate-limited, zero PII.

TRY IT IN SECONDS: POST https://api.tagit.network/asp/verify with {"tagId":"DEMO-AUTHENTIC"} returns a clean verdict backed by a real on-chain token. DEMO-FLAGGED returns a stolen-asset do-not-transact verdict. DEMO-UNKNOWN returns an honest not-found.

HOW IT WORKS: tamper-proof NXP NTAG 424 DNA chips are cryptographically bound to ERC-721 digital twins on our TAGITCore contract, which tracks a 7-state lifecycle (MINTED, BOUND, ACTIVATED, CLAIMED, FLAGGED, RECYCLED). The verify endpoint reads that state and returns a verdict an agent can act on before releasing payment.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR OKX.AI: every agent transacting in physical goods — marketplace bots, procurement agents, resale platforms — needs one trust call before payment. TAG IT Verify is that call: pre-transaction security for the physical world.

Built during the hackathon window (July 15–17, 2026):

1. A2MCP verify endpoint (POST/GET /asp/verify) wrapping our existing verification stack — free tier, rate-limited, read-only, zero PII. 15 new unit tests; full suite 417/417 green. Deployed to production at api.tagit.network.

2. Live demo assets seeded on Base Sepolia: DEMO-AUTHENTIC is a real ERC-721 (token #50) walked through the full lifecycle mint, bind, activate, claim — its verdict links straight to Basescan. DEMO-FLAGGED demonstrates the stolen-asset abort path. DEMO-UNKNOWN returns an honest not-found.

3. Registered an ERC-8004 agent identity on X Layer via OKX OnchainOS (Agent ID 6265, gas sponsored by OKX) and listed TAG IT Verify on OKX.AI as a free A2MCP service — passed listing validation with zero findings.

4. Every verdict now carries a chainRef (contract + token ID + explorer link) so judges and agents can independently re-verify on-chain.

5. Pre-existing foundation reused: TAGITCore contracts (7-state lifecycle), NTAG 424 DNA hardware integration, and the tagit-services backend.

TAG IT Network has been self-funded to date and has not raised institutional capital. We are currently seeking $1,000,000 in pre-seed financing through a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) to accelerate product development, security and production hardening, NFC hardware integration, enterprise pilots, and go-to-market execution. SAFE valuation cap and discount terms are open for discussion with qualified investors.
