TrustEscrow is an AI-powered escrow protocol built on Arbitrum that enables trustless transactions between strangers by combining smart contract escrow with automated AI verification.

In traditional online transactions, buyers and sellers must trust each other or rely on centralized escrow services and manual dispute resolution. TrustEscrow removes this dependency by introducing a decentralized settlement system.

Here’s how it works:

A buyer creates an escrow and deposits funds into a smart contract. The seller completes the agreed task or delivers the product and submits proof of delivery (such as a link, file hash, or transaction evidence). Instead of relying on human arbitration, an AI verification agent evaluates the submitted proof and determines whether it meets the agreed conditions. Based on this decision, the smart contract automatically releases funds to the seller or refunds the buyer.

The entire system runs on Arbitrum, ensuring low-cost and fast onchain execution suitable for frequent escrow transactions.

Week 1 Progress Completed project planning and system architecture design. Defined the escrow lifecycle: creation, funding, proof submission, AI verification, and settlement. Designed the smart contract structure for escrow management on Arbitrum. Created project repository and development roadmap. Designed initial UI/UX mockups for dashboard, escrow creation, and escrow detail pages. Defined AI verification workflow and backend architecture. Current Development Building Solidity escrow contracts on Arbitrum Sepolia. Developing AI proof verification service. Implementing wallet connection and transaction flows using React, Next.js, and Ethers. Integrating smart contracts with frontend components. Next Milestones Deploy smart contracts to Arbitrum Sepolia. Complete end-to-end escrow flow. Integrate AI verification with settlement logic. Record demo video and prepare final submission. Target Outcome A working AI-powered escrow protocol that automatically releases or refunds funds based on delivery proof verification, enabling trustless transactions between online buyers and sellers.

TrustEscrow is currently in early-stage development and has not raised external funding. The project is being built independently as part of the Arbitrum Open House Buildathon.
